Happy St. Patrick's Day!

Dear fellas,

From the button of my heart I wish you all a happy St. Patrick's Day. Today we're all celebrating the Irish roots and it's far more than a worldwide drinking ritual. Today we celebrate Saint Patrick, who, according to legend, explained the Trinity using a shamrock and is also supposedly responsible for making the island of Ireland snake-free.

With that in mind, I wish you all a wonderful day, raise your pints and enjoy our national holiday. Equally important is the fact that the Éire O'Vision Song Contest 2027 has become its new rulebook. You can get in touch with the latest updates and the rules by clicking here. I definitely look forward to your applications for next year's edition.

Slán go fóill,
Ryan

One week after the Grand Final

Dear fellas,

The Éire O'Vision Song Contest 2026 has come to an end, and we would like to thank you for your participation and support. People from 29 countries (plus all parts of the UK) submitted 75 entries in total. As a special thank you for this incredible experience, we would like to inform you that an email has already been sent to all mentors, allowing them to secure their country again for next year. There is no official deadline at present, but we expect to release more details this summer.

In the meantime, we have received a lot of feedback. A key request was to be able to evaluate a total of 15 entries instead of 14. Therefore, next year's voting will likely include a new top score of 20 points for the judges. Further details will follow shortly. All mentors from the 2026 competition are eligible to apply, and interested viewers are also encouraged to apply for countries that did not participate in 2026. If you are a newbie you can find the list of participating countries from 2026 to your right sidebar. We anticipate a maximum of ten new countries joining the competition. So secure your slot and your country now!

Slán go fóill,
Ryan

Please note: You can find the countries that have already been taken to the right sidebar too.

And the winner is...

The first Éire O'Vision Song Contest is over and the winner is....... IRELAND! Congratulations to Lamph & Róisin Dubh for being the first winner of our tiny but sweet competition. With 251 points Ireland won the first edition. Runner-up is Norway with 248 points and Iceland with 244 points. Congratulations!

That means the Éire O'Vision Song Contest will stay for another year in the Republic of Ireland. Big news will be announced very soon but before that we cheer for everyone who's been part of our contest. Thank you very much for being with us and also thank you to all jury members that have managed to listen to the huge bunch of songs even if they aren't interested in music competitions. You all have made this contest possible and I'm overwhelmed with the results.

We'll inform all the participants ahead of time to let them know everything they'll need to know about the future of Éire O'Vision. Stay safe and enjoy the aftershow party like we do.

You can see the final result here.

Sláinte me fellas,
Ryan
