Frequently Asked Questions

What is this contest about?
The Éire O'Vision Song Contest is a fan contest to celebrate music and select a winner, just like the Eurovision Song Contest does. Due to certain circumstances at Eurovision we will have our own contest to celebrate music and diversity through Éire O'Vision. This contest should be free of political influence, it's all about fun and music.

I want to participate, what do I have to do?
Select the country you want to participate with and send me a PM. Once you receive a confirmation you're part of the Éire O'Vision Song Contest. You need a song from the country you take part with or a song sung in one of the official languages of that country. You can find a list of all official languages by country on Wikipedia.

Update: Due to the high number of applications the contest is limited to 75 entries in 2026. All slots are taken and no more applications will be accepted. Right now the application time slot for 2027 is on the way.

Are there further regulations about the song?
The song should be from the country you're participating with or sung in an official language of that country. Entries that compete or competed in the Eurovision Song Contest are not allowed to take part. Please check out the terms of conditions and regulations here.

Is there a deadline to confirm my participation?
Yes! The last day to confirm your participation in the Éire O'Vision Song Contest is the 31/12/2025. The schedule to submit a song will be determined ahead of time.

How about the voting?
You can find the voting regulations here.

To share this competition you're allowed to form a national jury. All members of the jury will decide on the entries of the competition. The jury chairman will submit the national votes to me via PM. Please make this a secret ballot and don't tell anyone about your national ranking before the voting is over.
